Sustainable and holistic development outcomes across eight key sectors

The Partnership for Human Development brings together Australia’s support for the Government of Timor-Leste’s diverse activities in health, education, water, sanitation, nutrition, gender equality, disability and social protection.

Rather than working independently across sectors, PHD works collaboratively and combines resources for greater impact and effectiveness.

No one sector or stakeholder can, on its own, meet the needs of Timorese people or address the many underlying barriers to development. Rather, a multi-sector, multi-stakeholder approach where government and non-government actors work together to solve challenges across sectors makes success more likely.

PHD aims to ensure our activities across our eight priority areas work together, engage communities, empower women, and are accessible, including to people with disabilities.
